Being able to learn about a person who does multiple things is similar to demonstrating business offerings or products. I've never been one-sided, rather very broadly skilled and multi-faceted. Showcasing my experience and wrapping in a cohesive brand has been key.
Incorporating UX best practices and keeping info and code clean and organized has helped users find and appreciate my work over the years. While I miss one-off, wacky Flash days, I know it's best to keep things semantic.
By keeping things familiar and sprinkling in moments of animation and dynamics I've been able to make standard work go further.
I've had such a privilege in doing what I love for a living. I chose this career path back in High School — it fit me well and I was excelling in my funny-titled class names like "Computer Graphics Technology".
I can't begin to calculate the number of projects, side-work, code experiments, drafts and other types of doodles, doodads I've come up with over the years — but I can tell you it's been fun!
My site evolution can be seen in not only my own work but in the work I put out during those times. And while times change, the quality of my work remains steady and high.
